Park Shelter Reservations
Oswegoland Park District residents may reserve a park shelter for family parties, reunions, or community group picnics. The shelters listed below will provide your group an area to gather and share a meal while enjoying the great outdoors!
Waa Kee Sha Park on Reservation Road, Oswego
- 22 wooded acres with nature trail, playground, horseshoe pit, and fire pit
- Shelter: 40’x 60’ with grills & picnic tables
- Limited parking space – 20 cars
- Handicap accessible port-o-let
Violet Patch Park, along the Fox River Trail, 1 ½ miles south of Boulder Hill Pass
- Waubonsie Trail provides an easy walk to the Eagle Ridge Disc Golf & the Civic Center
- Canoe launch
- Foot bridge to cross the Fox River
- Shelter 1: 16’x 28’ with 3 picnic tables & grill
- Shelter 2: 16’x 20’ with 2 picnic tables & grill
- Parking for 23 cars
- Handicap accessible port-o-let
Jaycee Park, Saugatuck Road, near Douglas Road, Montgomery
- Waubonsie Trail runs through the park
- Playground and athletic field with a backstop
- Shelter: 16’x 28’ with 3 picnic tables & 2 grills
- Parking for 25 cars
Prairie Point Community Park, 4120 Plainfield Rd, east of the Prairie Point Center Building
The shelter at Prairie Point Community Park can be reserved by Park District residents for a 4-hour period of time: Saturdays and Sundays, 11:30am–3:30pm or 4:30pm-8:30pm, or weekdays as available. There is a $50 fee to reserve the Prairie Point Shelter. Download a Prairie Point Park Shelter Reservation form, or call 630.554.1010 for information and availability.

Hudson Crossing Park, 65 N. Harrison Street, downtown Oswego on the Fox River
The shelter at Hudson Crossing Park can be reserved by Park District residents for a 4-hour period of time: Saturdays and Sundays, 11:00am-3:00pm or 4:00pm -8:00pm, or weekdays as available. Community Park at Grande Park, Intersection of Grande Park Blvd & Ridge Road, Plainfield
- This 100 person shelter is under construction. Reservations will be taken beginning October 1, 2013.
