As We Grow Preschool

The As We Grow Preschool program began in 1981.  It was first known as "Preschool Fun”, which met once a week. The program was developed to give children a first school experience.

It has evolved into a more structured program with 2, 3 and 4 day a week options. Currently, there are over 340 children enrolled! 

Preschool classes are held at three convenient locations which include Boulder Point, the Civic Center and South Point. There are 26 staff members, some of whom have been with the program for over 15 years! 

All of our preschool programs stress the importance of critical thinking, problem solving, creative arts, language development, large and fine motor skill development and social/emotional development.

• Field trips are a part of the curriculum, and children have visited places such as the new Oswego Fire Station, the Keller Farm, Blackberry Farm, Phillips Park Zoo, Petsmart and Home Depot. 
• Portfolios are sent home at the end of the preschool year to show growth and development. Samples of cutting, name writing, and self portraits are included along with milestone pages highlighting specific areas of development.
• Children can choose to participate in our popular Lunch Box Club program for an additional fee. Preschoolers spend 30 minutes participating in either a Mighty Mites class or gymnastics class (depending on which building the child is enrolled at), then spend time socializing with their peers while eating their lunch brought from home.
• We offer convenient curbside drop off and pick up at each building!
• Teachers are certified in CPR/AED and First Aid.
