Health & Wellness

Meet Maggie Watson!

Maggie Watson joined the Park District in the spring of 2011 and has been using her knowledge of nutrition and cooking to jumpstart our wellness program ever since. Maggie received her degree in Dietetics at Bowling Green State University and has been working as a personal nutrition consultant since she became a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in 2009. In addition to cooking and healthy lifestyle classes, Maggie also works within our Kids Connection program to help institute healthy choices for their breakfasts and snacks.

Maggie's Classes Include...

  • One time lectures give you quick facts that are easy to understand and apply to everyday life.
  • Weekly classes provide on-going support and hold you accountable for your new wellness goals.
  • Cooking classes teach you to make recipes that are just as good for you as they are delicious. Free tastes included!
  • Personal nutrition counseling provides the personal attention you deserve. Meet with Maggie on your own and together develop meal plans, discover your diet pitfalls, or take part in personal cooking classes.
