Kid’s Connection is a recreational before and after school
program for first through fifth graders, held in the cafeteria of each District 308 elementary school, with additional use of the gym and playground.
The program is available from 6:30 to 8:30am and 3:30 to 6:15pm, Monday through Friday. Full days are available during holidays and days off school.
Children play games, make crafts, enjoy playground, gym, and computer time, cook, go on field trips, or choose to do homework. Our caring staff will provide plenty of fun in a safe, nurturing environment. Breakfast and afternoon snacks are included.
A site supervisor and adult leaders staff each Kid's Connection
site in a 1:10 staff to child ratio. In addition, all staff members
are:
- Caring individuals who enjoy working with school-age children
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Screened and approved through background checks
Kid's Connection offers plenty of fun in a safe, nurturing environment.
Kids can choose to:
- Unwind from school
- Participate in extracurricular school activities
- Do homework
- Play games
- Make cool crafts
- Art activities
- Play in the gym or on the playgrounds
- Use the computer
- Cook
- Go on field trips
- Optional programming

Registration for the 2008-2009 school year is on-going. Registrations
will be accepted as long as space is available. You may be placed
on a waiting list if your child's school site is full.
- Registration for the 2008-2009 school year begins May 12 for

Registration for all Kid’s Connection programs can be completed in person at the Civic Center, Prairie Point, or Boulder Point.
Registration is accepted anytime, as long as space is available.
A non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of
registration. The part-time option means that you may enroll your child for three specific days of the week that will remain the same throughout the school year.

Kid's Connection is open most non-holiday days off school and
all partial days for an additional fee. Check here for the holiday

Ever find yourself in a last minute crunch for childcare? A
Flexible Fun Pass may be the answer. This pass is good for 5 days of before and/or after school childcare that can be used
throughout the 2008-2009 school year. Once the pass is
purchased and a Health and Emergency form is completed,
you can use the pass by notifying the Kid’s Connection
coordinator at 630.554.4484 to check on availability. The pass
is not valid for non-school days and is non-refundable.

Each Kid's Connection site has a phone
number that rings into the site during program hours and goes
to voice mail off hours. If your child is going to be absent,
or if you have concerns or questions, please call and let Kid's

Register for the new Camp Connection Summer 2008 located
at elementary schools. Children
entering 1st grade can attend the summer program located at
- Program hours are 6:30 a.m. - 6:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Full-time and part-time options are available. (*Part-time

- Breakfast, snacks, field trips, and swimming are included
in the monthly fee.
- Children should bring a sack lunch, water bottle, and sunscreen
daily.
- Optional summer trips are available for 5th and 6th graders.

will be accepted as long as space is available. You may be placed
on a waiting list if your child's school site is full.
- Registration packets for Summer 2008 Kid's Connection are
available at the Civic Center or Prairie Point. Registration begins April 7 for current or last summer's Kid's Connection participants. Registration opens for new participants on April 21.
