Volunteer to help!

Print 2008 sponsorship brochure
Whether your business has called Oswegoland home for many years,
or whether you're new to the community, the Oswegoland Park District
invites you to be part of the area's largest community celebration
by pledging support to PrairieFest 2009.
Although
the Oswegoland Park District coordinates PrairieFest, the district
relies on contributions from local businesses and community organizations
to help offset the cost of the festival. In return, businesses
receive a great deal of community exposure in ways not possible
through conventional advertising.
In addition to the exposure businesses receive during the festival
itself, sponsors who contribute at the Millennium level of $2,500
or more will have their logo and business name showcased in a
variety of media including newspaper advertisements, radio and
television spots, signs, fence banners, pole banners, event brochures,
and Oswegoland Park District publications. No donation is too
small, however, and sponsorship opportunities are available at
all contribution levels. In-kind contributions of services and/or
products are greatly appreciated as well.
If you would like to learn more about sponsorship opportunities,
please contact PrairieFest Coordinator, Margaret Gienger, at 630.554.4431
or mgienger@oswegolandpd.org.
Each
year PrairieFest organizers recruit 150 volunteers to help direct
traffic, greet at the gates, sell tickets, and keep tables washed
and the grounds clean.
PrairieFest volunteers are asked to work just one
three hour shift sometime during the weekend, leaving plenty of
time to enjoy the event with family and friends. Each volunteer
is given a "We Sweat the Small Stuff" volunteer shirt
to wear during their shift. This is a great way to give back to
your community, meet new friends, and feel a part of Oswegoland's
hometown celebration.

Each year, on the final day of PrairieFest, the parade moves
through downtown Oswego showcasing area bands, floats, school
and community groups, and businesses and organizations. Thousands
of spectators enjoy celebrating family, history, and community
with one of the best hometown parades around.
The parade is limited to 65 entries and entry deadline is May 1, 2009. Contact the Oswegoland Park
District at 630.554.1010 or email mgienger@oswegolandpd.org
to be placed on the mailing list.
