Oswegoland biking and hiking trails

The Park District has an extensive trail system. View Oswegoland Park District's trail guide or a Kane County bicycle map.

  • Fox River Trail, 3.14 miles, Hudson Crossing Park north to connecting trails in Kane and Dupage Counties.
  • Grove Road Trail, 2.4 miles, Prairie Point Center to Reservation Road, on-street trail continues to Waa Kee Sha Park.
  • Waubonsie Trail, 2.5 miles, Eagle Ridge Park to Jaycee Park.
  • Oswego Prairie Trail, .5 miles from Farmington Lakes Drive to Barnaby Park along the ComEd right-of-way.
  • Prairie Point Trail, 1.75 miles, Prairie Point Center to Andover Park.

Trails are designed with your safety in mind and are marked with miniature traffic signs. It is important to heed these signs, just as you would on any roadway. Parents, this is a great opportunity to teach your children the rules of the road.

Following these basic courtesy rules will also provide an enjoyable time for all trail users:

  • Stay to the right
  • Try not to walk more than two abreast
  • Remember, pedestrians have the right-of-way
  • Pass on the left
  • Ring a bell or use a verbal warning when passing
  • Dog owners, please clean up after your pets
