In honor of our veterans and Veteran’s Day, Oswegoland’s Little White Museum is hosting the annual military exhibit. The museum is displaying military artifacts from their permanent collection in a walk-through experience. There is a special section that honors military personnel with direct connections to Oswego, who were killed in war between the Civil and Vietnam War. Over 200 photographs are featured from the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force.

Remembering Our Veteran’s, hosted by the Oswegoland Heritage Association, is displaying artifacts from the following wars:

  • Civil War
  • World War I
  • World War II
  • Korean Conflict
  • Vietnam War
  • Iraq
  • Afghanistan

Experience

A first-hand experience at the museum creates a very powerful effect; seeing the heavy material uniforms, the aged pins still tagged to the coats, gas masks, MRE’s, badges, pistols, and metallic combat helmets. The tangibility of these war-time necessities is sure to be a lesson in understanding and history.
