On Sunday, November 7 the Park District coordinated with The Conservation Foundation and the Churchill Club Homeowners Association for a Conservation Work Day.
Thanks to about 40 volunteers, we were able to plant 20 oak trees along the path near the tennis courts at Bluegrass Prairie Park West. After the planting, the group also helped clean up trash in the park and collected seeds that will be used to supplement the areas that have been treated with chemicals this past growing season.
We look forward to more Conservation Work Days in 2022. Interested in volunteering? Please contact our Natural Resources Supervisor, Chris Hanley at chanley@oswegolandpd.org.
