Boulder Point Rededication & Open House

Gymnastics

RededicationThe Oswegoland Park District invites the community to attend the Boulder Point Rededication and Open House on Thursday, May 19. There will be a ribbon-cutting, open house, and refreshments to celebrate the completion of the Boulder Point Renovation Project.

The District’s Boulder Point facility was originally a former car dealership built in 1960, which was leased by the Park District in 2004 and refurbished into a 14,887 square foot, ADA-accessible community center. The building was ultimately purchased by the Park District in 2009 and is home to programming including fitness, gymnastics, theatre, preschool, and dance.

The Boulder Point Renovation Project was made possible with the assistance of a $1.8 million grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The Oswegoland Park District project was one of eight projects awarded funding by the PARC Grant Program in 2019.

The 3,426 square foot addition and renovations to the Boulder Point facility created additional programming space, including two new community rooms, while enhancing the facility which is already a community asset.

The celebration will be held Thursday, May 19 from 4:00-6:00pm at Boulder Point, Zero Boulder Hill Pass Montgomery
