The Fox Bend Golf Course greens renovation project is complete. The new greens on Holes 2, 7, and 12 opened for play on Thursday, June 29.
The Renovation Project began in Fall of 2022. Greg Martin, of Greg Martin Design, was the golf course architect chosen to complete the renovation design, and Hollembeak Construction was the contractor responsible for completing the renovation work.
These greens were renovated primarily due to the soil composition, which did not allow for adequate drainage and contributed to poor turf quality. The goal of the renovation was to improve soil performance, turf quality, and playability.
The shape of Holes 2 and 7 will changed slightly. Hole 12 will have the biggest changes to allow for more pin locations. The bunkers at these complexes were also rebuilt to eliminate rocks and improve drainage and sand retention. These holes will include some collection areas that will be unique to the golf course.
