PrairieFest 2025

Get ready for Kendall County’s largest and most beloved festival, PrairieFest, returning from June 12-15, 2025. Presented by the Oswegoland Park District, this year’s festival promises to kick off summer with a spectacular community celebration over Father’s Day weekend.

Enjoy free concerts from top national, regional, and local bands, along with family-friendly performances that are sure to entertain. Get ready for a show 65 million years in the making! Step back in time with the Jurassic Kingdom Dinosaur Show. Kids and adults will have a roaring good time learning about a wide variety of dinosaurs introduced through the fossils that are found today. Not only do audiences get to see lifelike dinosaurs in ACTION, they also have the opportunity to touch and interact with them throughout this family friendly show.

Thanks to the generous support of local businesses, PrairieFest continues its tradition of offering outstanding free entertainment for everyone all weekend long.

Thursday, June 12 kicks off with impressive vocal choirs from local high schools and the PrairieWinds Community Concert, a cherished tradition for Oswegoland musicians. The evening heats up with performances by local band Marlon and the Shakes, followed by the electrifying Prince Experience, the country’s most dynamic Prince Tribute band.

Friday, June 13 features local band Riplock. Folks are still talking about their performance that brought down the house at the Sandwich Fair, and now they’re coming to PrairieFest. Riplock will open for an exciting headlining performance by country music stars Runaway June. Known for their rich harmonies and fiery bluegrass hits, the band was the first all-female trio in over a decade to break into the Top 20 on the Billboard charts with “Buy My Own Drinks.”

Saturday, June 14 brings Oswego’s favorite Father’s Day band, the American English Beatles Tribute Band, followed by the high-energy, locally led Fecto Glen. This amazing night culminates with a performance by the electrifying, Grammy-nominated Plain White T’s, who will have the whole festival singing along to their feel-good hits “Hey There, Delilah,” “Rhythm of Love,” and “1,2,3,4.”

Sunday, June 15 continues the musical celebration with Conjunto Atardecer, bringing their vibrant Duranguense style to the stage. Celebrate Father’s Day with great music and one more ride on the Ferris Wheel!

PrairieFest also features a variety of activities and events for everyone, including the PrairieFest 5K, Prairie Dog Jog, and the PrairieFest parade. Don’t miss the ThrillABLE Inclusive Family Carnival, Wheels Go Round Touch a Truck event, and the Cotton Candy Eating Contest.

With the support of our generous business partners, PrairieFest promises another year of outstanding entertainment. For more information or to get involved, contact festival director Kristie Vest at 630.554.4425 or kvest@oswegolandpd.org. Visit prairiefest.com for the latest updates.
