The play structure includes an area for young children to play with 2 slides, 3 climbers and an under-deck playhouse. The “big kids” area includes 2 slides, 5 climbers and the “Tornado” – a spinning experience for the adventurous! Village Green Park occupies the site where the Kendall County Courthouse stood from 1845 to 1864, before the county seat was moved to neighboring Yorkville. In 1885, the courthouse was demolished. The Red Brick School was built on the site in 1886, and served the community as its high school until 1951 and as an elementary school and junior high until 1964.
