2024 Community Investment Program Highlights

Park Projects
Hudson Crossing Park Playground
The Hudson Crossing Playground Replacement Project includes:
- New playground equipment featuring a multi-person spinner, zip line, and sand play area. ADA Accessible features include a harness swing, drinking fountain, and transfer stations.
The water sprayer will also remain! - New benches, picnic tables, trash receptacles, and drinking fountain
- Wood Fiber Safety Surfacing
Grande Park Playground
The Community Park at Grande Park Playground Replacement Project includes:
- New playground equipment including a large rotating climber, zip line, and multi-person swing. ADA Accessible features include a harness swing, 4-person seesaw, and transfer stations.
- New benches, picnic tables, trash receptacles, and portable toilet enclosure
- Wood Fiber Safety Surfacing
Bluegrass Park
The second phase of Bluegrass Park improvements includes:
- Relocate two half-court basketball courts
- Relocate tennis courts
- Six new pickleball courts
- Site amenities: park shelter, picnic tables, benches, trash receptacles & bike racks

Farmington Lakes Park
The Farmington Lakes Park Development Project includes:
- Two fishing piers
- Canoe/kayak launch
- Pedestrian bridge over Waubonsie Creek for easier lake access
- Off-street parking lot, 22 parking spaces, 1 handicapped
- Bike trail extension that completely circles the lake
- Baggo games
- Site amenities: park shelter, picnic table, benches, bike racks, trash receptacles, grill
- Bike repair station
- Lake shoreline restoration

Shelter Project
The Shelter Project includes improvements to three parks and Winrock Pool.
- Dugout covers for the ballfields at Prairie Point Community Park, Wormley Heritage Park, and Old Post Park.
- Shade structure for the ballfield core sitting area at Prairie Point Community Park
- Shade structure for the spectator seating area at Winrock Pool
Briarcliff Woods Prairie Wetlands
The Briarcliff Woods Prairie Wetlands improvement project will include a paved, off-street parking lot with approximately 19 spaces. View the Project Plan.
Veterans Serenity Park
The Veterans Serenity Park project includes aesthetic and safety improvements throughout the park. New features include cable handrails for existing stone bridges, a Donor Appreciation Wall, additional brick memorial pavers, and safety signage.
Trail Projects
Boulder Point/Fox River Trail ADA Improvements
- Pedestrian crosswalk from Fox River Trail, across Route 25, to Boulder Point
- Bike rest stop/seating area
- Site amenities: benches, trash receptacles, & bike racks
- Bottle filler & bike repair station combo drinking fountain
- Native landscaping

Weaver Prairie Wetland
This collaboration is between the Oswegoland Park District and the Kendall County Highway Department. The Collins Road expansion project includes an on-street bike path along Collins Road, breaking off just after Morgan Creek and connecting with Weaver Prairie Wetland, where the existing gravel path will be paved into an asphalt path. This connection will give the Hunt Club subdivision residents bike path access to Prairie Point Community Park. View the Project Plan.
Facility Projects
Facilities Renovation Project
A large, multi-year, multi-phased project that includes various facility improvements to Civic Center, South Point, Boulder Point, Prairie Point, and the Fox Bend Clubhouse. Planning began in 2023 and construction is being planned for 2024 and beyond.

Fox Bend Golf Course
This maintenance project at Fox Bend Golf Course will replace the culvert bridges at #9 Tee and # 8 Green and fix soil erosion, structural deterioration, and pavement cracking. View the Project Plan.
