SuzanJohn Park
The SuzanJohn Park Playground Replacement Project included:
- Existing playground equipment donated to Kids Around the World. They refurbish and install it for children in a community without access to a playground.
- New Benches, Picnic Tables, Trash Cans & Bike Racks
- Wood Fiber Safety Surfacing
- ADA Accessible Features Include: Harness Swing, Spinner, Sand Digger & Transfer Station
Bluegrass Park
The Bluegrass Park Improvement Project included:
- New 2-5 year old Playground
- New Seating Area and Site Amenities
- Native Landscape Restoration
- Trail/Path extension
- New Off-Street Parking Lot with 20 spaces and 1 Handicapped

Trail Improvement Projects
- Repaved portions of the Grove Road Trail between Collins Road and Stephens Road
- Repaved Prairie Point Trail between Arboretum Way and Deerfield Drive
- Repaved portions of the Fox River Trail between Route 30 and Route 25
Facility Projects
Little White School Museum Ramp Project
The Oswegoland Park District received a grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) for ADA updates to the Little White School Museum. A new wood ramp system begins at the sidewalk off East Jackson Street and wraps around the building to the door at the back of the Museum Gallery.

Park Projects
Andover Park
Items completed included the playground, landscaping, basketball court seal coating and striping, and site cleanup and restoration.
Eagle Ridge Park
New, premium disc golf baskets replaced the existing baskets at Eagle Ridge Disc Golf Course.
Saw Wee Kee Park
An exciting multi-agency initiative to develop new trail signage and emergency rescue procedures for the popular Saw Wee Kee Park. The trails have been re-designated with a new coloring system, and new signs will be placed in several locations throughout the park. The signs will include trail difficulty, length, wayfinding arrows, and procedures in case of an emergency.
Summerlin Park
The Summerlin Park Playground Replacement Project included:
- Existing playground equipment donated to Kids Around the World. They refurbish and install it for children in a community without access to a playground.
- New Benches, Picnic Tables, Trash Cans & Bike Racks
- Wood Fiber Safety Surfacing
- ADA Accessible Features Include: Harness Swings, Spinners, Play Panels & Transfer Stations
- Playground Features: Sensory Dome Climber & Circuit Climbing System
Veterans Serenity Park
The Veterans Serenity Park project includes a mix of aesthetic, safety, and ADA improvements throughout the park. New features include right-of-way street parking, landscaping, a donor wall monument with plaques and a natural stone façade recognizing those who contributed to the park’s creation, and tension wire railings at the bridges that cross over the dry creek bed. Site grading enhancements will offer more opportunities for brick memorial pavers. This project is being funded with a grant through the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO).
Washington Park
The Washington Park Playground Replacement Project included:
- New Benches, Picnic Tables, Trash Cans & Bike Racks
- Sandbox will be removed Brick pavers will be replaced
- Wood Fiber Safety Surfacing
- ADA Accessible Features Include: Harness Swings, Spinners, Play Panels & Transfer Stations
- Playground Features: Sensory Dome Climber & Roller Slide
Whispering Woods Park
The Whispering Woods Park Playground Replacement Project included:
- New Benches, Picnic Tables, Trash Cans & Bike Racks
- Wood Fiber Safety Surfacing
- ADA Accessible Features Include: Harness Swings, Spinners, Play Panels & Transfer Stations
- Playground Features: Alpine Slide, Trailblazer Rope Climbing System & ReviWheel Multi-Person Spinner

Fox River Trail
Repave Portions of the Fox River Trail
Facility Projects
Civic Center
The Civic Center repaving project includes the street parking along Circle Dr. West, the north Civic Center parking lot along Circle Dr. West, and the south Civic Center parking lot along Ashlawn Avenue.
Fox Bend Golf Course
The Fox Bend Golf Course project included renovating course greens #2 and #12, and the tee, green, and bunker on #7. Improvements included new grading, stormwater infrastructure, and irrigation. Holes reopened in summer 2023.
