Master Plans:

The Oswegoland Park District worked with Hitchcock Design Group to create Master Plans for select parks and trails within the District. It is important for Park Districts to have these plans prepared to take advantage of funding opportunities when they become available such as grants or donations. The following parks were found to have enhancement opportunities that would benefit residents throughout the District. Click on the following parks to view their Master Plans: Hudson Crossing Park, Farmington Lakes Park, Fox River Trail, Community Park at Grande Park, and Violet Patch Park.

The Oswegoland Park District plans to build a new playground to the east of the existing sled hill. Proposed playground site amenities include benches and trash receptacles, and a small shelter for shade. The Park District currently doesn’t have a playground serving that neighborhood. Taking advantage of the native wetland area on the north side of the park, the Park District plans to build wood boardwalks with shelters and overlooks to give users a chance to explore the habitat up close. To accommodate the additional amenities, the Park District is proposing to expand the parking lot in the southeast corner of the park off of Bluegrass Parkway.
