All Star Runners – Spring

New runners and elite runners are welcome in this class designed to build a solid running foundation in a fun and instructional manner. Runners will meet once a week to cover static and dynamic stretching, speed and agility work, tempo runs, and build endurance for long runs. At each class the instructor will hand out a weekly running schedule to be completed before the next class. Fee includes registration for the PrairieFest 5K Run. (PT-C)

Welcome Spring Athletes! Join us this spring for a great season of fun, instruction and competition. All athletes from grades 1 to 8 are invited to learn one of the most exciting sports out there. Led by the coaches at New Wave Lacrosse, beginners and experienced players will all find this to be a comfortable, fun and challenging atmosphere. Canlan Sports Skating Academy: Snowplow Sam 1

Have a kid under 5? These entry-level classes are specifically designed for your little one! The Snowplow Sam levels are introductory classes divided into four progressive levels, helping children new to skating build confidence while learning the ABCs of movement – agility, balance, coordination, and speed. Classes are in a safe and positive environment incorporating fun and games with our friendly instructors, using United States Figure Skating guidelines and standards. In Snowplow Sam 1, kids will learn how to sit and stand u with skates both on and off-ice, march in place, march forward (8-10 steps), march then glide on two feet, and dip in place. (AF-C)

Canlan Sports Skating Academy: Basic I – Skating

If you are looking for a great start into figure skating or hockey, start with the basics! The Learn to Skate Basic program offers professional instruction at many comprehensive levels using the United States Figure Skating guidelines and standards. If your child is new to skating, Basic Level 1 is a perfect choice! With a focus on getting your skater comfortable on the ice, USFS-qualified coaches introduce participants to fundamental skills, including sitting and standing up on the ice, marching forward, and snowplow stopping on two feet. This is the introductory program for the Canlan Play Forward Pathway. Participation in this level lays the foundation for the love of the game and growth in more dynamic skill development. Beginner Archery

If you have never shot a bow and arrow before, or it has been a number of years since you have, then this is the class for you. This class is an introduction to archery and archery safety. USA Archery certified instructors will teach you basics and how to be safe doing so. Learn proper shooting form to help you meet the goals for advancing your skills, as each new level of archery will bring new challenges. Join Coach Jonathan Staton and his Professional Coaching Staff for Fox Bend’s Junior Golf League! This 2x per week, 15-week program will feature both instruction (Mondays) and course time (Tuesdays). A great introductory program for any new golfer, this 4-lesson series will have a different focus each week. Learn proper techniques of putting, chipping, full swing, driving, and course strategy with Teaching Professional Jonathan Staton.
