I Love Spring Break

kids connection

Spring Break is just around the corner and we have a whole lineup of activities for kids and adults!

Families looking for full day care for children grades K-5 can sign up for Kid’s Connection Spring Break Camp 2018. This is available at select SD308 Elementary Schools and to both current participants of Kid’s Connection and non-participants. Rates start at $50.88/day for current participants and you can choose to attend as many dates as you would like from March 26 – April 2. Daily fee includes care from 6:15am-6:15pm, field trips, breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Registration opens on February 26 and ends March 12!

If your child has never attended an open gym before, Spring Break is a great opportunity to have a trial run. Children ages 2-13 can run around Boulder Point to burn off energy while playing on mats and jumping into foam pits. Open gyms will take place Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday the week of March 26. 30 participants will be allowed per session and participants can register online the day of the event or by calling 630.554.1010. The cost per child is $7 and daily sessions run 9:00-10:30am and 10:45am-12:15pm. Children 8 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult in the gym.

If you have a little one in your life, we have a variety of single day classes for 3-6 year olds to spark imagination and creativity. Theme days include Artful Adventures, Sensational Science, Boys Rule, and days of activities related to the Pinkalicious books. Our catalog has more information on these classes and you can register here.

Adults ages 16+ can have their share of fun too! Special Spring Break fitness classes will be available throughout the week. You can sign up for an hour of gentle and rejuvenating yoga or an hour of strength and cardiovascular training, both classes guaranteed to get your blood pumping. Advance registration is recommended at a rate of $5/class. Drop-ins are welcome if space permits for $10/class. Register now!

Children’s Spring Break fitness classes include Storytime Yoga and Zumba Kids Party. Yoga participants will be led through a yoga sequence, meditation, class discussion, and be read the Rabbit in the Moon story. Zumba Kids are invited to shake, wiggle, and dance their way to fitness in an energetic Zumba party! Each Zumba Kids party will make fitness fun and incorporate developmental elements like leadership, respect, team work, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination, and cultural awareness.

With over 63 parks across 1,120 acres we also have lots of space for you to #playoswegoland. There are trails, sports fields, natural areas, and playgrounds waiting to be explored and broken in before the summer months. Let’s hope the weather is nice and we can all get outside and play! We hope you have some new ideas on how to spend your Spring Break.
